Exposure Visit

Sophia College Ajmer Students Visit GSVS for an Experiential Field Learning Experience

Gramin Evam Samajik Vikas Sansthan (GSVS), Ajmer organised an experiential Exposure Visit for the students of Sophia College Ajmer at its Kishangarh Centre.

During the visit, students learned about GSVS’s objectives, key programmes, and its 26-year journey in social development. They also visited the Workers’ Support and Resource Centre, where they gained insights into programmes for migrant workers and communities. Community Mobilizers shared their field experiences with the students.

The students also visited the Balwadi at Khoda Mata RIICO Area, a Child Day Care Centre for children of migrant worker families. They learned about early education, child care, and efforts towards children’s overall development.

The visit concluded with a Mineral Factory Visit, where students observed workers’ working conditions and learned about important aspects of Occupational Safety & Health (OSH).

The Exposure Visit provided students with an opportunity to step beyond the classroom, experience grassroots realities, and learn about social work through direct observation and interaction. Such experiences play an important role in developing social awareness, empathy, and a deeper understanding of community-based development.
