The second wave of pandemic is very severe in the country and has affected almost each and every household and most of the states were under partial and complete lockdown and as the experts are predicting the worst is yet to come
In other words, with the state and the national governments ramping up the vaccination drives and promising to reach to over 200 million by the end of the year, we are proposing that we can complement the effort of the government in strengthening prevention and control measures including mobilizing people for vaccination to ensure maximum vaccination among the most vulnerable populations
Rajasthan government is also focussing on increasing COVID vaccination and saturating the population of the state, with various initiatives undertaken to increase the vaccination in Ajmer district, with achieving 66.03 % vaccination of first dose and 22.02 % people have taken second dose (News report, 18thAugust, 2021)
In Masuda 80% vaccination of 1st dose has been done and 30% people taken second dose (31st Sep. 21) in the masuda block more than 45% labourers are going on migration for livelihood due to surrounding hilly areas. After November month mostly labourer will go on migration. So we have to complete 100% vaccination before November month.
Pre vaccination camp activities- door to door visits, listing the eligible people for vaccination and creating awareness around it
The volunteers will be trained on Co-win and Arogya Setu Apps to update the details of above 18 years for vaccination along with ASHA workers and health team through home visits.
Working closely with ASHA workers/ANMs for mobilizing 18 plus people for vaccination.
Coordinate with medical officers and Health staff at PHC ensuring timely awareness and mobilizing people.
During camp vaccination activities- volunteers will inform prior a day and on the day of camp to the people to ensure vaccination
volunteers will mobilize the people to the vaccination sites and camps
Accompanying the people with disabilities, elderly and sick people for vaccination
Post camp activities-The volunteer will do follow-up of people post vaccination along with ASHA workers and ANM
Capture and document positive case studies, videos etc. to motivate community vaccination & reduce hesitancy
